Novelist Emma Strand (Scottie Thompson) is on vacation at the seaside in 1892 California with her second husband Albert (Connor Paolo) when she encounters her first husband George (Jilon VanOver) and his mentally unstable new wife, Lillian (Vivian Kerr).
