Super Mario Bros. Z is a British fan-made flash-animated web series created by Mark Haynes. It is a crossover between the Super Mario and Sonic the Hedgehog franchises, while incorporating elements from the Dragon Ball Z series. The series follows Mario joining forces with Sonic the Hedgehog to prevent Turbo Mecha Sonic from collecting the seven Chaos Emeralds and destroying the world.
Chaos descends upon the world. When a powerful mechanical adversary forces Sonic and Shadow to send the Chaos Emeralds to the Mushroom Kingdom, Mario and Luigi get caught in the crosshairs and must help recover them all to prevent evil forces from using the unlimited power for their own ends.
In 1989 the two most famous plumbers from Brooklyn burst out of the Nintendo game world and onto television screens across America. The Super Mario Bros. Super Show! aired weekday afternoons and brought Mario, Luigi, Princess Toadstool and King Koopa more thrilling adventures as cartoon characters. And if that weren't enough, each episode also contained live-action segments featuring Mario and Luigi running their Brooklyn plumbing shop - all before they were flushed down a drainpipe into the Mushroom World.
